Paris - City of Love, Art, History, Fashion, Food....

All of us want to visit Paris once in our lifetime with our loved one. I have been lucky enough to have been to Paris couple of times.

One can't just help falling in love with this city over and over again.

Paris is known for its public landmarks and masterpieces of architecture that stand in the middle of the city. You are taken back into history, art and culture which just oozes from every street, every corner.

For centuries, Paris has attracted artists from around the world, as a result, Paris has acquired a reputation as the "City of Art". It is home to some of the world's most famous museums and galleries, including the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay.

Its narrow cobbled streets with art nouveau cafes and art shops are like a patchwork of little villages where time seems to stand still. And not to forget the Juliet balconies which remind us that romance is in the air. Paris has a timeless beauty for first-timers and frequent visitors and the same keeps luring me to return.

Some of the highlights and must see in Paris are :

Eiffel Tower - The wrought-iron spire of the Eiffel Tower piercing the clouds is a symbol of Paris. Its is a stunning piece of architecture and also an epitome of love. I cannot imagine how many proposals it would have seen in its life span and how many more dreams continue to be reality at its footsteps.

Arc de Triopmhe - Arc de Triomphe is the most monumental of all the triumphal arches. The triumphal arch was built in honour of those who fought for France. Today it stands guarding Paris's most glorious avenues - The Champs Elysee.

Notre Dame - Notre Dame is a historic Catholic Cathedral and is considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture and among the largest and, most well-known church buildings in the world. Palace of Versailles - Also known as Château de Versailles, is a UNESCO’s World Heritage site. It was built as a humble hunting lodge by Louis XIII and today is a symbol of absolute monarchy and a perfect manifestation of Freach architecture.

Enjoy cruising on the river Seine or just walk through the cobbled streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés soaking in the Parisan atmosphere. Last but not the least one cannot escape the French gastronomy.

Paris's dining experience is iconic. Whether neighbourhood bistro or a triple-Michelin-starred restaurantrs you just won't be disappointed.

Enticing patisseries, boulangeries (bakeries), fromageries (cheese shops) and crowded, colourful street markets one can't just get enough of it. What I love most about this city is its true Parisian character, even though a big metropolis its still not lost its charm to modernity. Paris is still true to its culture, there is a real sence of community at the local shops, cafes, art galleries, markets which makes you believe it is truly timeless....
